Photos are a keepsake for memories and speak 1,000 words. They can celebrate the best times in life, capture youth, and growth. For this lovable little Shih Tzu Ralph, this photoshoot was about celebrating his good health and the passing of his 8th birthday. This little guy is super fun, and was absolutely adorable. Looking for an urban feel, we headed out to Downtown Worthington. This is always a favorite shooting spot for me as it offers SO much variety for a session. I love how quaint it feels and omgosh so many textures! It was the perfect scene for Ralph and his person, Colleen!

Ralph is everyone’s best friend. He is super friendly and loves attention. He loves belly rubs and meeting new people. He had so much energy during the shoot and definitely knew that it was his day. Ralph was super easy to shoot and the close-up shots were the highlights. With his super silly facial expressions and big doey eyes, the close-up shots captured his sweet side the most and um-those eyelashes!! For reals!  This shoot was all about their special bond and I was super excited to capture it. I loved working with his mom Colleen. She came prepared and loved seeing his final images come to life! (Wait until she sees her gorgeous products–woot!!)

Ralph and Colleen have a bond so strong and it’s really incredible to see. They absolutely love each other and it shows in their photos. Together, they have so much trust, and chemistry. Ralph and his owner have shared happiness and sadness. They have a deep, special connection and really understand each other. The love they have literally bursts through each moment captured together, especially when she holds him. It is clear Ralph is family and a lifetime friend. I’m grateful that his mom chose me to photograph their day together and we had so much fun creating those gorgeous memories of him that she will have forever.
