Absolutely loved this super laid back session with Rebecca, Mr Titus and Chloe! Rebecca came to Simply Dog Photography looking to capture special memories in a very natural setting with her pups that have such a big presence in her life. I was thrilled to help her with her custom portrait experience. Together, we created a special day in an environment that was perfect for them and exactly how she envisioned.
Rebecca was awesome at going with the flow and really that is so important for a dog session. Patience is the name of the game when it comes to photographing dogs. We had lots of laughs, great weather and the perfect backdrop for her to walk away with some very special memories and beautiful wall portraits that will bring her back to this day for many years!

I have two older dogs, both were 14 at the time of our shoot and I wanted to capture their memory before they pass on. We've had so many wonderful adventures together over the years and I really thought of the portrait session as a culmination of our time together.

It was a wonderful day. Not only do I have the photographic evidence on my wall, but the shoot itself was also a lot of fun and that day is a positive memory for me with both Chloe and Mr. Titus. Claudine was super patient and flexible to get the right shots based on the dogs energy levels and attention span.

I was honestly not too worried for the session. Both dogs are elderly and very relaxed for the most part. I think I was more worried they would go to sleep than anything else. The amount of stimulation definitely made them very tired the rest of the evening.

The best part of the session was having the opportunity to spend time with both Chloe and Mr. Titus while Claudine captured the moment. They have both been such a large part of my life that I really just enjoy spending time with them.

If you are considering a session, just do it. The memories are well worth it. I would tell anyone to just be flexible, you know your pet best and can prepare, but they still are going to be placed in a somewhat unfamiliar environment so be ready to roll with the situation.

I adopted both dogs from the Humane Society when I lived in Tennessee many years ago and we have lived all over the United States since then. They have been inseparable over the last decade and I think the photos together really capture that.
