“Happiness is a warm puppy”
Could I be any more excited when I initially received the call from Victoria that her and her husband wanted a photo session with their new adorable little puppy, Rocco?
I had never heard of his breed and I was anxious to meet him! Rocco is a Lagotto Romagnolo. (wow say that 10x fast)..lol. We chose to shoot in Highbanks Metro Park in the Fall. It was the most gorgeous day and SUPER packed! They met me in the park and I fell in love with their super awesome styles and fun easy going personalities. Of course, swooned over Rocco as so did everyone else passing by. lol We had to take lots of breaks with all the crowds and everyone stopping to meet Rocco-
Victoria and Val wanted to capture special memories at such a perfect time – puppyhood! While I think anytime is a great time for a dog session to create beautiful memories of them, it’s especially fun with puppies. Their silly antics and expressions are just too much!
Of course, like most, their biggest fear for their session was trying to control their puppy. Thankfully, I’ve been working with all kinds of dogs for so many years and have lots of experience reeling them and getting adorable expressions. We take LOTS of breaks as their attention span is very short!
What did they say the best part of their session was? “Interacting with Claudine being able to create a perfect setup and positioning of the puppy for the best pictures.” We did have a TON OF LAUGHS and downright silliness watching Rocco just doing what puppies do best! It was quite entertaining
Their tips if you are considering your own dog photography session? “Go for it! It was a wonderful memorable experience that we wouldn’t want to have missed.“ I’m glad they didn’t miss it either. They will enjoy looking at their beautiful printed products on their walls and album for so many years to come. I guarantee every time they do, they will be brought right back to that super fun day with their special little guy.
One of their favorite things about Rocco? ” We love Rocco’s JOIE DE VIVRE!” Yes!! Love this and totally agree. Victoria and Val, I had a blast with all of you from start to finish. Thank you so much for trusting me with Rocco’s puppy memories. I know you will enjoy his session images for so many years and of course I love the story you have put together for your walls. It will surely be a conversation starter for anyone coming into your home!
