Natural Outdoor Dog Session

Sometimes, out of the most tragic circumstances, come life’s most wonderful stories. Stories of hope and beauty.

That’s the story of this sweet dog and her owner, Cassidy.

“My last dog passed away tragically and very unexpected. I considered Journey (my last dog) my soulmate, and there was an emptiness in my heart”, she explains, “I visited shelter after shelter, and finally was told there was a small dog who had come in as a stray. I visited Marsh again a few days later, and I fell in love. She stared into my eyes as if she had Journey’s soul. Life with Marsh has been healing, and the therapy she has given me is unlike anything else.”

Cassidy added that she wanted to book a shoot with her special new girl to celebrate life’s moments and the way you can’t take a minute for granted. When we spoke for the first time, we chatted about what she was hoping for from her session.

She mentioned she wanted everything from “silly” shots with lots of movement, to photos with them together and some pretty scenery. We were able to capture that and much more in our time together. Cassidy notes that some of Marsh’s favorite activities are doing tricks, cuddling, and making her laugh!

I know these portraits represent more than just a snapshot - they show the joy and healing that has come to this owner through Marsh and her sweet life.

Cassidy adds, “I cherish life with Marsh. I often sit and think, who rescued who?”
