Fall Outdoor Dog Session

Doesn’t the Golden Retriever just exude pure happiness and joy? I mean really….have you even met a Golden you didn’t like? I haven’t and honestly could work with them all day long! Monti and his silly antics were was no exception.  I worked with him in his mom Michele, this past Fall and had the most beautiful day for a Fall Session. WE GOT SO LUCKY! I really wanted to finish out this session at the river and was hoping any rains would hold off until we finished this shoot. Literally just a few days later, the river was completely washed out and a totally different scene than we had for his session.

They were super easy to work with which makes my job 100x easier and we loved scouting out the different areas in the park. Every time I look at this session, I’m instantly smiling-which is EXACTLY how I want my clients to feel when they look at their session images. Whether it be 2 weeks or 10 years.

It was really important for Michele to have a few posed images of them together, but certainly wanted those candid moments and I LOVE that she brought some of her own ideas. I want my clients to feel part of the process. This is their day and it’s fun to collaborate WITH them to create their pets memories. It’s so important to me that they take part in this.

Michele shared this about her Simply Dog Experience: “From the first phone call to the final reveal Claudine walks you though it every step of the way. The photo shoot was a blast. She took a lot of pictures in multiple locations. The atmosphere is relaxed which helps make great photo’s. She asks lots of questions to figure out the best location to get the type of images you will love. The lasting memories I have received are ….priceless. I had 2 friends that have had photo sessions done with you. They absolutely loved their sessions and as a result, their final images too!”

Her favorite part of her session was: Watching Claudine interact with Monti was fun and funny. She uses all kinds of different sounds or a tub of food or toy to get the dogs attention, reaction or pose. There is no feeling of being rushed during the session. It’ is easy to see how much she loves her job  (oooooo heart so full xoxo)

Michele’s advice to those getting ready for a shoot or on the fence, is to make sure to be included in some of the pictures, you won’t regret it. One of my favorite photos is a spontaneous photo she captured of me with Monti. Think about any poses or images you may want, Claudine is very open to any requests of specific poses you may want. The hard part is choosing at the final reveal, you WILL want them all.

I think every single client that calls me is hesitant to be in photos, but I can’t encourage them enough. Even if you don’t do anything with the image, it’s special just to have it. I would rather a client be included and not like an image, than to regret not being included at all.

Monti is a rescue from The Golden Retriever Rescue in Toledo Ohio. One of Michele’s favorite memories of Monti, is the day she picked him up, the rescue sent him home with a few toys (with squeakers). He literally squeaked the toy the entire ride from Toledo. I think he may still be squeaking it today…lol.
